СКИ СКОК. Българинът Владимир Зографски преодоля квалификациите за състезанието от Световната купа по ски скокове в германския зимен център Оберсдорф. Зографски преодоля 176,5 метра на шанцата за ски полети и събра 166,0 точки, което се оказа достатъчно за деветото място.
По рано през деня, при първите тренировъчни скокове българинът постигна национален рекорд от 197,5 метра.
Най-добър в квалификациите беше японецът Даики Ито със 184,3 точки след опит от 198,5 метра.

Daiki Ito wins ski flying qualification
If the weather forecast for the weekend is correct, that the heavy snowfall and changing winds during today's qualification in Oberstdorf was the worst weather we see the whole weekend. It will stop to snow and the wind will decrease, that's the forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
And that's good, because the qualification round was difficult and long due to the weather conditions. The jury had to change the inrun gate various times during to round in order to react to the changing wind conditions at the Heini-Klopfer-Ski flying hill.
In front of 5000 spectators, Japanese Daiki Ito was the one who could handle the difficult conditions the best. He landed at 198.5 m and reached a total of 184.4 points. He won close ahead of Austrian Stefan Kraft. The bronze medalist of the Junior World Championships posted a jump on 198 m (183 points).
The third place went to the local hero, Richard Freitag, who was the best in the qualification rounds for the events in Willingen and Klingenthal. The 21-year old of the ski club SG Nickelhuette Aue earned 178.7 points with his 185.5 m. The longest jump was shown by his teammate, Severin Freund. He showed a jump on 202.5 m, but came in only fifth due to lower judges' marks. Both proved that they will be among the top contestants for the win in front of their home crowd.
The spectators will be able to cheer on seven German athletes in the competition on Saturday. Besides Freund and Freitag, also Maximilian Mechler, Karl Geiger, Andreas Wellinger and Andreas Wank made it to the competition.
Alexander Stoeckl could be satisfied with the performance of his athletes, who showed consistent jumps around the K-Point. Anders Jacobsen (182 m; 175.7 points), Anders Bardal (184.5 m; 173.3 points), Tom Hilde (182 m; 172.6 points) and Kim Rene Elverum Sorsell (180 m; 164.8 points) were among the Top 10. With his 12th place Rune Velta completed the strong performance of the Norwegian team. In this shape Norway will be in the game for the win in the team event on Sunday.
Four out of five young Polish athletes could make the cut for Saturday’s event. They got their chance in Oberstdorf, because the team of the head coach Lukasz Kruczek is training for the World Championships in Val di Fiemme. With his jump on 173.5 m (151.1 points) Klemens Muranka was the best Pole as 18th. In a wake of him also Krzysztof Biegun, Jan Ziobro and Bartlomiej Klusek qualified for the competition.
Debuts of Wellinger and Zografski
For the first time in their careers youngsters Andreas Wellinger and Vladimir Zografski are competing at the ski flying hill. The German newcomer and the Bulgarian Junior World Champion 2011 posted jumps on 176.5 m. Both could set their personal bests with longer jumps in the official training, but did not succeed in crossing the 200 m line today.
It was not a good qualification round of the Czech Team, which performs in Oberstdorf without its new star, Jan Matura. Borek Sedlak and Vojtech Stursa, could not reach the first round.
Anders Johnson will be the only competitor of the United States on Saturday. With his 159 m and a total of 138.2 points he came in 24th. Peter Frenette missed the spot in the first round only by 0.5 points, although he jumped 6 m farther than Junshiro Kobayashi, who was 30th.
Slovenes continue on their way
The longest jump of the pre-qualified athletes was made by Slovene, Robert Kranjec. The second of the ski flying World Cup landed at 195 m. Also his teammates Jaka Hvala (180 m), Jurij Tepes (184 m) and Peter Prevc (192 m) proved their good shape with today's jumps.
The second longest flight of the pre-qualified jumpers was shown by Andreas Stjernen. With his 192.5 m the Norwegian proved his ambitions for the first podium finish.
