. world ski news : Vonn suffers another ACL injury on repaired right knee - 25 Íîåìâðè 2013 - 11:12
ALPINE SKI. Vonn announced this Friday that she will not compete during the Nov. 29-Dec. 1 Nature Valley Raptor ladies' World Cup in Beaver Creek, CO. While her rehab is progressing, she is not at a point where she will be able to ski next week.
"Lindsey is recovering very quickly from abrasions to her face and contusions to her shoulder blade. Beyond that, she has a stable knee with an MRI finding of a partial tear of her ACL graft. With therapy, she is progressing well while not losing any of the strength she worked so hard to achieve," Dr. Bill Sterett, the U.S. Women’s Alpine Ski Team Head Physician said.

Olympic gold medalist and four-time Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall champion Lindsey Vonn (USA) crashed Tuesday morning during downhill training at the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper Mountain. She was not admitted to the hospital but was undergoing further evaluation, as is typical, after a crash.
The medical evaluation revealed a mild strain to her right knee, a partial tear to her right ACL, minor facial abrasions and scapular contusions. Vonn plans to rest for a few days before pursuing physical therapy. U.S. Ski Team Medical Director Kyle Wilkens reported her response to the therapy would ultimately determine the timetable for her return to active training.
Lindsey Vonn was expected to make her official comeback in Beaver Creek next week after skipping the season opening in Sölden.
We wish Lindsey to be back strong on the skis very soon and ready to defend her Olympic titles in Sochi.
