ALPINE SKI. Bode Miller will sit out Sunday's Audi FIS Alpine World Cup opener in Soelden. According to Men's Head Coach Sasha Rearick: "Bode’s been working hard and getting his back treatment which is going well. He made the decision to let the treatment take its course. He needs one more week so he can be full gas for Copper training and we can really get going and get ready for November/December and the rest of the tour. There’s a lot of races going on and Soelden’s a demanding hill. It’s challenging and, for now, it makes sense to let the treatment do its thing."
Ted Ligety will be gunning for a fourth straight win Sunday.
