Dear skiers, freeriders & touring skiers!
The next winter is just around the corner and it is necessary to find the right ski model for every individual out of the wide range on offers. As the industry is constantly developing and researching at higher level, there is still a demand for better material and skis. A consequence of this is undoubtedly the trend to have a second or third pair of skis. It just makes sense not to own three GS skis, but yes to have for different requirements the right, tailor-made material. In order to offer the best possible assistance in choosing the individual model, we are organizing three ski tests with a total of 13 categories, 140 different test models and a mix of almost 300 testers.
We started our test series with the Touring Skitest in the Innerkrems, starting point of the Kärntner Nockbergetrail. As in the previous year, the test crew tested three different touring categories on the "Strasseralm". There, the ascending qualities as well as descending suitability and handling of the skins were scrutinized. On the test weekend, we had glorious sunshine and warm temperatures, which was further boosting the ambitions of our testers. In the Sporthotel Frühauf, the testers could recover from the exhausting testing and fill up the empty storerooms with regional delicacies.
The World Cup Bad Kleinkirchheim hosted the AlpinSkitest. Our testers - including youth - enjoyed the hospitality in the partner hotels "Prägant" and "Die POST" and in the mountain restaurant Kaiserburg, where the Snow Style Contest took place. The test was carried out on the "trough departure". Due to the cold weather conditions and sufficient snow coverage, there were perfect test conditions for both the first and the second test group during all three days. The motivation of our testers - thanks to the prevailing, excellent test conditions - was extremely great.
Our WST test tour ended early April in the beautiful East Tyrol. This year the Großglockner resort KALS was for the first time the venue of the WST FreerideSkitest. For our freeriders the conditions could not be better. The first day we were awarded with fresh snow and the second day with lots of sunshine. This was the perfect mix for these skis. With the accommodation in the Gradonna Chalets, our freeriders started right off from the slope to test fun and in the Adlerhorst they enjoyed the view over the mountains of East Tyrol. The Taurerwirt spoiled our freeriders not only culinary but also with a great presentation about the history of the East Tyrolean mountain guides and Glockner mountain ascents.
In all three test locations - Innerkrems, Bad Kleinkirchheim and Kals - the cooperation with the responsible persons, be it the tourism associations, the regional partners, the mountain railways, the hotels or the huts, worked out perfectly and uncomplicatedly.

A fixpoint at the WorldSkitest AlpinSkitest is the WST FashionShow, which this year took place at the Hotel Ronacher "DIE POST" in Bad Kleinkirchheim. Top brands such as EA7, UVEX, UYN, HALTI, FALCON, KOMPERDELL and GIESSWEIN presented their latest winter trends. From anoraks, pants, underwear, caps, casual shoes to projectors and ski poles, everything was included. The traditional Alpe-Adria-Manufaktur Strohmaier refined the fashion show and presented high-quality country house fashion for every day.
