LAKE LOUISE, Canada  --  Lindsey Vonn owns Lake Louise. Her convincing win today was her third straight on the course. Vonn has now won five downhills here eclipsing former Italian ace Isolde Kostner’s previous record of four wins.

Italy’s Nadia Fanchini was second, .61 back of Vonn who furthered her lead in the World Cup overall chase. Maria Riesch of Germany took third place honors. Emily Brydon was the only other North American in the top ten. She wound up seventh.

Other than Vonn, the rest of U.S team could not get out of its own way with Chelsea Marshall’s 37th place the next best result for the squad.
