HALTI, a major European sports clothing manufacturer and official clothing supplier to the Alpine World Championships currently underway in Val d’Isere, France, has supplied over 1500 Officials and Volunteers with garments made with recycled plastic bottles, industrial fibers and recycled clothing items. HALTI USA, based in the former Olympic Village of Lake Placid, NY is the U.S. distributor for HALTI high-performance outdoor clothing.
HALTI’s prominent role in this year’s Championships is based on the sponsorship of the International Ski Federation (FIS) and is an extension of the agreement to provide garments to Officials at World Cup events around the world. HALTI USA supplied over 600 volunteers with jackets at the annual Birds of Prey World Cup events at Beaver Creek, Colo. this past December.
“We’re extremely excited that HALTI is supporting the efforts of world-class alpine ski events around the world said Paul Van Slyke, President, HALTI USA. “These products perform at the highest level and are a perfect match to the level of competition at World Cup and World Championship events.”
HALTI products are made to demanding specifications and are tested in some of the most extreme conditions that occur in Finland where the parent company is located. Product lines are so extensive that they include everything from base layer – next to skin products to mid layer and soft shell and hard shell outerwear. Products are designed for anyone who enjoys year-round outdoor activities - skiers, snowboarders, XC skiers, hikers, campers or even those who just like to look and feel good when they head outdoors.
In addition to providing garments for World Cup and World Championships, HALTI has also provided items to the Finnish Alpine Ski Team and HALTI USA is the official clothing supplier for the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS) National Team. The NBS recently held their annual meeting in Snowmass, Colo. where over 900 members gathered from around the country with many sporting their new HALTI speed suits and outer wear.
