From 16th-18th October, 32 TDs from 12 different countries (BUL, CZE, CRO, GRE, ITA, RUS, SLO, SVK, ROU, RUS, TUR, UKR) hit the books in the new FIS Cross-Country World Cup resort of Rogla (SLO). Under the lead of Uros Ponikvar the TDs received a rules update, had an in-depth discussion about the role of the TD, the FIS point system and sanctions as well as assessment of two different competition formats - individual and team sprint.
The TDs also had a chance to visit the courses and venue in Rogla where a practical workshop was held on Sunday to discuss the stadium set-up, feeding stations, testing and warm-up areas and parking & logistical arrangements.
During the seminar, eight TD candidates passed their exams, which means that the FIS Cross-Country family could welcome eight new Technical Delegates. It was also a great pleasure for the participants to welcome Petr Petricek, former Chairman of the FIS Cross-Country Committee, in their midst for experience sharing.
Altogether, the seminar was very well organized by the Slovenian Ski Association, Unitur - the World Cup Organizer of Rogla, and Uros Ponikvar. Thank you to all for their great efforts!
