Vonn had a spectacular crash Wednesday while training in giant slalom at Hintereit
Lindsey Vonn has turned spectacular saves during competition this season into somewhat of an art form. What she endured on Wednesday in training was just downright scary, and not in a good way.

During a giant slalom training run in Hintereit, Austria, Vonn had a spectacular crash that left her laying head down and motionless in the snow. You can watch video of the crash here.
"I hit my head pretty hard and had to go to the hospital to get a CT scan," Vonn posted on her Facebook page. "Luckily the scan showed no major injuries! I will be very sore (Thursday) but should be fine in a few days. I will have to see how I feel and play it by ear for the upcoming races this weekend in Zwiesel, Germany."
Vonn is scheduled to compete in the World Cup slalom on Friday and the giant slalom on Saturday in Arber-Zweisel. These are the last World Cup races before the start of the World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, where she will be looking to win repeat gold in the downhill and super-G.
