Brown pulls off a triple cork 1440 at a private park at Squaw Valley
FREESTYLE SKI. While training at a private Red Bull park at Squaw Valley on Saturday, Bobby Brown landed freeskiing`s first triple cork 1440. "I`m stoked," Brown told ESPN afterward. "This is something I've wanted to do all year. It`s also a huge motivator to keep going hard this season."
A day later, Russ Henshaw did another triple cork 1440 on his first session on the jump built for this weekend's Jon Olsson Invitational in Sweden.
Here's a teaser of Brown's trick Poor Boyz Productions. The rest of the footage will be in their fall 2011 release.
This isn't the first big trick landed at the park at Squaw. Last week, Sebastien Toutant landed snowboarding's second triple cork 1440. The park, it seems, is doing its job: "The primary purpose of the facility is for athlete performance development," said a Red Bull spokesperson who asked not to be named.
It's also not the first time Brown has unveiled a new trick late in the season. Last spring, Brown landed skiing's first triple cork 1260 while filming at Alyeska, Alaska.

Brown says he wasn't necessarily planning to try this specific trick this weekend. He told Freeskier magazine, "[The trick] was something I had been thinking about for a while, but I did it as spur of the moment thing."
