SKI JUMPING. Thomas Morgenstern won also the third individual competition of the Poland-Tour. With the victory in Zakopane, Morgenstern also won the overall ranking of the first edition of the Poland-Tour and the prize money of 5 000 Euro.

The Austrian won on the Wielka-Krokiew-Hill with 262.1 points close ahead of his teammate Gregor Schlierenzauer (261.4 points) and the Polish hope Kamil Stoch (251.3 points). So the the same three jumpers were on the podium in Zakopane as in Szczyrk. With Maciej Kot, the next best Polish jumper finished fourth.
Freitag best German
Strong again: Young Bulgarian Vladimir Zografski who came in fifth, ahead of Germany's Richard Freitag. With Krzysztof Mietus (7th) another Pole was in the Top Ten. Severin Freund was eighth, followed by Wolfgang Loitzl, who presented himself in a better shape today.
The team competition in Zakopane took place on Friday, but in Saturday's individual competition the result of the first round was a fight between Austria and Poland. Three Poles and two Austrians were on top - all within only two points.
Hilde most consistent Norwegian
Tom Hilde is still the best of the Norwegian team. He is among the best consistently - this time as 12th. Jakub Janda (11th) and Lukas Hlava (13th), who won a qualification during the Poland-Tour, are the best of the Czech team.
After the first competition of the summer in Poland it has to be mentioned that Russia has a real top jumper with Pavel Karelin. He moved up from 21st after the first round to tenth overall on Saturday. Also Denis Kornilov and Ilja Rosliakov could score GP-points for Russia. On Friday they finished on a very good third place in the team event. The Russians seem to be ready for the upcoming tasks.

Thomas Morgenstern leads in the overall Grand Prix ranking with the maximum of 300 points ahead of Gregor Schlierenzauer (220 points), who plans not to participate in any competitions until October. Kamil Stoch (149 points) is third, followed by Karelin and Freund.
