ISPO BRANDNEW. Applications for next year’s BRANDNEW contest may be submitted to Messe München until Nov. 1, 2012. It is expected that no less than 300 companies from 25 countries will compete to win a free booth at the next ISPO MUNICH, which will take place from Feb. 3-6, 2013.

ISPO created BRANDNEW in 2000 to give young companies and entrepreneurs a platform at the show, to present their innovative products and to enhance creativity in the sporting goods industry. The organizers of BRANDNEW emphasize that the impact from this exposure is likely not to be immediate but that the benefits will probably materialize in the long run. Some former participants of the rookie contest have become well-known brands, including Crocs, Maloja, Nixon and Skins.
