Alexandra Jekova (Sani) is the first Bulgarian snowboard European cup champion. The charming girl took the first win in the last start, held in Bansko, before Jully Lindhold (DAN). In the last ranking Sani reached 975 points, while Jully had 970.
Thanks to the help from Bulgarian Ski Federation, Jekova could participate in recording number of starts for the WC. In one of those participations, she finished third. These results allowed her to win two quotes for the Olympic Games in Turin.
The trophy in the border cross in the men’s contest took the polish Matewsh Ligotski. Yesterday, he finished second after Stephan Welen (Swiss). In the general ranking they changed their places, Ligotski finishing with 1400 points and his adversary 915. The champions were awarded by the head of the FIS snowboard commission Peter Krogel (GE).
