ALPINE SKI. After today's snow control on the Rettenbachferner, FIS race director Markus Mayr, gave the green light for the World Cup opening on October 23rd and 24th in the presence of Rupert Steger (ÖSV), course manager Isidor Grüner and race director Rainer Gstrein.
The sporting director of the ÖSV women, Christian Mitter, was delighted about this: “One week before the start, the slope is in very good condition and we now have the opportunity to use the ideal training conditions with other nations until Saturday. Those responsible have done a very good job, so nothing stands in the way of a good racing weekend."
