SKI JUMPING, CONTINENTAL CUP. Unlike the first event, the second competition in Almaty was held on the normal hill, but the winner was the same. Kamil Stoch won with the longest jump in both rounds (102.5 m and 103.5 m) and 257.0 points.

Vladimir Zografski, tenth after the first round, once again proved his talent and captured the second place with 98 m and 101 m and 244.5 points. Behind the Bulgarian two more Polish jumpers landed on the podium. Lukasz Rutkowski and Tomasz Byrt shared the third place with 239.0 points. For 17-year-old Byrt this is the best result of his career.
Marcin Bachleda and local hero Radik Zhaparov, second and third after the first round, could not show their best jumps in the final and lost a couple of places. Zhaparov finished sixth, Bachleda twelfth.
Also former overall World Cup and 4-Hills-Tournament winner Primoz Peterka took part in the competitions in Almaty. But as 17th and 20th he could not achieve very good results.
Stoch the best on both hills
With these results the long trip paid off for Kamil Stoch, who came to Kazakhstan to secure one more quota spot for Poland in the World Cup via the COC. Because the favorit could also win the competition on the large hill with jumps of 137 m and 136.5 m and a total of 273.3 points.
With 262.5 points two athletes shared the second place: Jakub Janda from the Czech Republic (134 m /133.5 m) and young Bulgarian Vladimir Zografski (133.5 m / 134 m), who could achieve his first podium finish in a Continental Cup.
Best in the second round was Poland's Marcin Bachleda, who had the longest jump of the day with 138 m and moved up from 27th to sixth. Once again the team from Poland showed a great team performance. With Stoch, Lukasz Rutkowski (4th), Tomasz Byrt (5th) and Bachleda four Polish athletes were in the Top 6.
