MOUNTAIN RUNNING, PARAGLIDING, WILDWATER KAYAKING, MOUNTAIUN BAIKING. 45 хиляди зрители се събраха около градчето Лиeнц в Източен Тирол, за да подкрепят атлетите, които участваха в 27-ото издание на състезанието Доломитенман. Едно вълнуващо предизвикателство, в което участниците трябва да се борят с природните елементи - огън, вода, земя, дърво, метал, състезавайки се в планинско бягане, параглайдинг, каяк в бурни води и планинско колоездене.
Тазгодишното издание бе доста вълнуващо като в крайна сметка победи отборът на Адидас Аутдоор, който покри дистанцията за 4:07.57 часа. Общо участие взеха 124 отбора, а всички те завършиха в рамките на 6 минути. Първото изпитание бе 12 км тичане по изкачване с денивелация 2000 метра, последва параглайдинг от около 500 метра в зависимост от минутите. Red Bull Dolomitenmann: Thrilling battle with the elements
MOUNTAIN RUNNING, PARAGLIDING, WILDWATER KAYAKING, MOUNTAIUN BAIKING. The 27th edition of the Red Bull Dolomitenmann proved one of the
most closely contested in the history of the event, with Adidas
Outdoor emerging victorious in the Dolomites. The top five teams
were separated by just six minutes.
LIENZ (Austria) – A total of 45,000 enthusiastic spectators lined
the course in and around the town of Lienz in East Tyrol to cheer
on the athletes competing in the 27th Red Bull Dolomitenmann, the
world’s toughest relay race comprising mountain running,
paragliding, wildwater kayaking and mountain biking.
The 2014 edition was particularly exciting as several quartets
battled it out for first place. Eventually it was the team from
Adidas Outdoor that managed to distance its rivals and claim
victory in a time of 4:07:57 hours. Second to arrive in the
finish area was Hannes Aigner (GER) from Team Kolland Topsport
International, with the bronze medallist from the London 2012
Olympics managing to hold off reigning kayak world champion
Tobias Bong (GER) to cross the line 1:17 minutes after the
winners. Team Red Bull completed the podium 2:03 minutes behind
Adidas Outdoor. This year’s Red Bull Dolomitenmann proved one of
the most exciting ever, with all of the top five teams finishing
within just six minutes of each other.
