OLYMPICS, ALPINE SKIING. Overnight snow has shuffled the Friday downhill training program, pushing the women's schedule by a full two hours and canceling men's training.
Originally slated to begin at 11 a.m. local time, the women's program was pushed back to start at 2 p.m. (23:00 CET).
Thursday's completed men's downhill training was an official training, meaning the men's downhill medal event can go ahead as planned with an 11:45 a.m. local time (20:45 CET) start to open the 2010 Olympic Winter Games for alpine skiing on Saturday. A third downhill training run for the women's super combined will precede the men's race at 9 a.m. PT.
