ALPINE SKI JUNIOR WORLDS. Bostjan Kline of Slovenia took the men’s super G title one day after he captured gold in downhill. For Austria’s Frederic Berthold it was also the second silver after placing second in the downhill on Thursday. This time, he missed the top spot on the podium by .24 seconds but was .52 seconds ahead of Switzerland’s Justin Murisier, who captured bronze – his third medal after winning silver in slalom and combined.
Berthold went down the course with bib No. 5 with a run time of 1.22:67, which was only beaten by Kline, who crossed the finish line with a time of 1.22.43 wearing bib No. 9. Murisier was racing in bib No. 14 and put down a time of 1.23.19. He claimed the last spot on the podium making up for the missed opportunity to win a medal in downhill.
After the men’s super G, there is only one race left before the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships will conclude on Saturday with the ladies’ super G, which begins at 9:30 local time.
