WORLD CUP BANSKO (SKI.BG) -- There are only two weeks to this year's first World Cup start in Bansko and of course preparing for the big event is under full steam. As is known, Pirin resort will meet the best alpine skiers in the world with giant slalom on February 18 and slalom on February 19, 2012, and a week later in Bansko will compete ladies - the downhill is scheduled for February 25 and super giant slalom will be on February 26.

Immediately after the charity event organized by the association of the Prince of Monaco Albert II, witch took place on January 28 on the ski slope "Banderitsa - Alberto Tomba", started the alignment of the finish area and preparations for building of grandstands construction and tents for competitors and VIP guests.

However the track for racing is already fenced and closed, and now is running the preparation of the snow base, including through the ice water.

Despite considerable difficulties caused by heavy snowfall and low temperatures in the past few days, organisers work twenty-four-hour to prepare the slope and construction of temporary facilities in time.

TICKETS

Tickets for Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cups will be available after the 1st of February, 2012 at the specialised ticket offices, as follows:

Bansko - Ticket centre in front of the lower station of the Cable car lift, Ticket centre in front of the Strajite Hotel
Sofia - MAXSPORT store - 81G Bulgaria Blvd.

Prices
Day ticket - 35 BGN. / Two-day ticket – 55 BGN.
Children under 12 (accompanied only)
Day ticket – 20 BGN. / Two-day ticket - 30 BGN.
* The price of the ticket includes transportation to and from the grandstands at the finish area of the race – Banderishka Polyana. Your ticket allows you to use the cable car lift or the shuttle busses from the cable car lift lower station, organised especially for the time of the event.

The Organising Committee would like to inform you that the road from Bansko to the ski zone will be closed to vehicles.. We advise against using your own vehicles during the days of the race in the area of the cable car lift lower station and to use the parking lots indicated on the map or those provided by your hotels.
