ГОЛФ. Второто издание на турнира Balkan Challenge Trophy, организиран от Бъларската Голф Асоциация с подкрепата на R&A и Rolex, ще се проведе от 5 до 7 юли 2012 г. в Голф клуб „Света София”. На преминалата наскоро конференция за развитие на голфа в Източна Европа Дънкан Уиър, директор на ‘Да работим за голфа’ към R&A, обеща подкрепа за влючване на още страни в състезанието. В първото издание на турнира миналата година участваха 11 държави, а победител стана отборът на Турция. Тази година се очаква още по-силен турнир.

REGISTRATION
All teams are required to register on Wednesday 4th July at the Registration Desk in the Clubhouse.

INFORMATION DESK
The information desk will be located at Reception in the Clubhouse.

NOTICE BOARDS
Notice boards will be available in the Reception Area of the Hotel & Clubhouse.

PRACTICE ROUND
The Practice round will be on Wednesday 4th July. A tee sheet for practice rounds will be available on arrival and players are requested to reserve tee times.

Conditions of Competition

GENERAL
1.1 Eligibility of Teams
The Championship is open to any Eastern/Balkan  European Golf Association (EGA) member.
1.2 Eligibility of Players
All players nominated to teams by their national golf authority must be:
a) amateur golfers in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status as
approved by R&A Rules Limited;
b) citizens of the country represented.
c) A Division playing off a handicap from 0 - 9.
d) B Division playing off a handicap from 10 – 18.
e) Ladies Division playing off a handicap from 0 – 24.
1.2 Format
Teams shall comprise three players.
The Trophy shall be decided over 54 holes stroke play with 18 holes on each of three consecutive days played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and the Competition Rules approved by the Committee.
1.3 Draw / Order of Play
The draw will be in threes at ten minute intervals, using a standardised format unless otherwise permitted by the Committee.
1.4 In the Men’s A and B Divisions, the lowest two scores from each team’s three players will count each day. The aggregate of the four lowest stroke play scores from play on all 3 days will constitute each team’s final score. The winning team shall be the one with the lowest final score. In the Ladies Division, the lowest two scores from each team’s three players will count each day. The aggregate of the lowest scores from play on all 3 days will constitute each team’s final score. The winning team will be the one with the lowest final score.

St. Sofia Golf Club & SPA is the closest golf club to the Bulgarian capital city – only 20 minutes from Sofia downtown and 15 minutes from the Sofia International Airport.
