"There are still a few inevitable finishing touches to apply, but everything planned has been done in good time," said Province of Turin President Antonio Saitta after visiting the Turin Winter Olympic facilities. "With great satisfaction I bore witness to the completion of the work - a project that has been carefully developed over years, from the bid to the construction of the facilities, which are finally a reality today." Accompanied by Toroc Vice President Pier Paolo Maza and Toroc's Relations with Local Authorities Director Roberto Daneo, Saitta visited the ski jump and Nordic skiing facilities at Pragelato, the Olympic village at Sestriere, the luge, skeleton and bobsleigh run and biathlon course at Cesana and the snowboard facility at Bardonecchia. The visits also gave him chance to admire the 'look' of the Olympic sites, with its distinctive blue colour, produced thanks to a one-million-euro investment from the provincial government. "Blue reminds one of the clear sky and the colours of the mountain and contrasts well with Turin's colour, red," said Saitta. "Thanks to the 'Olympic look', those who come to the valleys for the Games will be welcomed by a visual sensation that's in tune with the landscape."
