SWIX SKI CLASSICS. Swix Ski Classics is proud to announce that the Swix Ski Classics Prize Money will increase to Euro 150.000 in 2013. The world´s leading long-distance skiing championship, Swix Ski Classics, consists of six ski races across Europe; Jizerská Padesatká Czech Republic, Marcialonga Italy, König Ludwig Lauf Germany, Vasaloppet Sweden, Birkebeinerrennet Norway, and Swix Ski Classics Final Årefjällsloppet Sweden.

”I am very delighted that Swix Ski Classics continues to improve. With almost 50% increase of prize money in 2013, the tour will increase its significance and its support to the most important part of Swix Ski Classics; the athletes”, says David Nilsson CEO of Swix Ski Classics. The professional skiers compete for three different leader bibs: The green sprint bib, the yellow overall leader bib and the pink best youth skier bib. In addition there is a team competition where each teams 2 best male skiers and single best female skier together with the teams total sprint points are calculated. Swix Ski Classics is live broadcasted in more than 15 countries around the world from Norway to Brasil. The wide spread media distribution is due to an interesting mass start competition form, exotic landscapes and a state of the art TV production.
