In 2008 the Norwegian joined up with filmmakers Field Productions and together they produced their first feature together entitled Get Lucky. Since then, Askel and Field Productions have made four more movies with their upcoming release Supervention due out in November.

Askel has been on a steep learning curve, getting to grips with the differences between Super G and freeskiing but he has had plenty of help along the way. Big Mountain Skiers such as Henrik Windstedt and Eric Hjorleifson have been on hand to help Askel draw new lines in the snow.
