In a nice and relaxed atmosphere, with a nice number of audience, on Sljeme's Crveni spust in the afternoon hours the HYPO Zagreb Ski Legends race was also successfully held. In parallel giant slalom some of the biggest names of alpine skiing sports history came down the course. Janica Kostelic, Ingemar Stenmark, Alberto Tomba, Marc Girardelli, Bojan Krizaj, Andreas Wenzel, Jure Kosir, Urska Hrovat, Spela Pretnar, Guenther Mader...
Through out the "KO" system of competition, with some runs being more, some less successful, but definitely fun, we came to the finals where the Slovenians Bojan Krizaj and Urska Hrovat measured their strength. At the end Urska was faster by just a few hundreds of a second than Bojan, which also meant she has won the competition! And the third place went to Andreas Wenzel from Liechtenstein.
The competition was in this race, nevertheless, a secondary thing. In the spotlight were, of course, having fun and enjoying of a good old-known company, all combined with a humanitarian goal of gathering money for children's hospital situated in nearby Bistra (CRO).
And after all this nice and fun event, there is not much to say, but:
