04 January 2010 - 14:51 Seb Michaud Invitacion - unforgettable week freeriding; Geraldine Fasnacht makes history
With friends in a mythical spot in Argentina, breathtaking slopes, powder, the mission was to bring back incredible images. With one filmer and two photographers, Phil Meier, Adrien Coirier, Richard Permin, Sverre Liliequist, Kaj Zackrisson, Vince Michaud, Bruno Compagnet, Camille Jaccoux, Tato Vasiuk, Xavier Delerue, Laurent Favre and Thomas Diet all spent an unforgettable week freeriding.
On December 13, 2009, Geraldine Fasnacht and the Holtana team made history completing the first successful base jump in Antarctica which they call 2041. This signifies the date which the treaty currently protecting the continent will expire.
Jumping from more than 2575 meters with a view of the horizon of 60 kilometers, they flew alongside the arctic birds for this historic moment. They celebrated this amazing jump, then headed back to their base camp 8 kilometers away. A 15 hour day they will never forget!
