SNOWBOARD WORLD CUP. The season’s fourth snowboard cross of the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup has been cancelled. Due to the difficult snow and course conditions, there was no chance to hold a safe and fair competition on World Cup level in Yongpyong, Korea.
If the cancelled race will be re-scheduled later in the season at a different place is currently under examination.
According to this, Yongpyong’s debut as World Cup host is postponed to Wednesday. On Feb, 9th, a parallel slalom is on the program.

"The boarder X course was build completly wrong and it was too dangerous for racing, specially in heats of 4 people... It wasn't working at all... it was verry nerrow and all the features were shaped wrong for the speed wich we would of... have.. All the coaches and the race director decided to cancell it...We are happy with this decision! We have inaf of injured riders already...We are hoping that the organising cometee will replace that race to Italy or Switzerland and they ll keep the amount of our competitions for the season... Best regards from us..=) "
