ROLLER SKI. Four wins in four races, this is the record of the last day of Norwegian athletes at the FIS Rollerski World Championships in Aure/Kristiansund.
Andresen and Solli celebrate
Ragnar Andresen fought back in yesterday’s 200 m Sprint Free and was unbeatable the whole day. Andresen already dominated the prologue and was victorious all the way through till the finals. Italians had to be satisfied with second and third place. Emanuele Sbabo claimed silver and Folco Pizzuto bronze medal.
On the ladies’ side Guro Stroem Solli (NOR) fulfilled the role of the sprint favorite and grabbed gold medal in in Kristiansund. She defeated her compatriot Kathrine Harsem. Bronze medal went to Slovenia to Katja Visnar.
Norwegians superior in the junior class
Also in the junior class Norwegians athletes collected gold medals. Bendik Persch Andresen dominated junior men’s final ahead of Emanuele Becchis. Bronze medal stayed in Norway too thanks to Felix Hoem.
Barbro Kvaale concluded great World Championships. Kvaale showed 100% efficiency and won four gold medals in four races. Russian junior Margarita Tolochko won silver medal and Italy’s Elisa Fulcheri celebrated bronze medal.
