ALPINE SKI WORLD CUP. Markus Mayr, the FIS Race Director in charge of the ladies' technical events, has given green light for the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Glacier Opening in Sölden.
"The course is in probably the best condition it has ever been at this time of the year. We are very pleased with the preparation work by the Organizers," said Mayr. "So much so that the course will remain open for all nations to train there until Saturday and we will only begin the race preparations on Sunday. It is looking excellent for the season opening giant slalom races in Sölden on 22nd-23rd October."
