SNOWBOARD. Once again it is time for Sweden to welcome snowboarders from all over the globe to the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup, attracting the world's best in snowboarding to Stockholm.
The competition in Big Air is the second World Cup event of a total of four for the season 2011/2012. And this year, the competition will take place at a starting height of 35 meters. The father of the ramp is one of the world's top shapers and park designers, David Ny.
“We have elevated its inception five meters to the world's highest city ramp for world cups. This is to get as close to natural conditions in a snow park as possible. Last year, we had over 26,000 visitors from all over the world and those visiting Stadion in Stockholm on the 19th of November, we promise they will experience the best in snowboarding and enjoy an outstanding show in FMX this year accompanied by live music," says Ulf Mård.
"And anyone who bring their boards ans skis can try the rails and jib in our snow park," adds the project manager for the Stadium Winter Jam 2011.
