They skied on the Alberto Tomba ski-track named after the legendary Italian skier who inaugurated it at the start of last year's season.
This track is very difficult and can successfully be enlisted for the starts of the World Cup, Girardelli said after skiing down the slope.
The Pirin ski pearl opened Saturday this year's ski season with expectations of more than 300,000 holidaymakers to come and spend their holidays here.
Deputy Economy Minister Dimitar Hadjinikolov officially opened the ski season in the popular resort, which has so far attracted investments of about BGN 50 M for the construction of tourism-related infrastructure, ski centers, lifts and specialized lightening.

Ten new hotels will meet the visitors, including a five-star Kempinski hotel.
The belated snow will not bother the ski fans, as the resort is equipped with modern artificial snow-making machinery. Besides Bansko, Rila's Borovets resort also has such facilities.
