Victory in Markkleeberg for Kathrine Rolsted Harsem and Anders Svanebo
ROLLER SKI. Kathrine Rolsted Harsem and Anders Svanebo won the opening day of the FIS Roller Skiing World Cup in Markkleeberg in Germany. Harsem of Norway won the ladies' competition over 4 km free in 7:52.6. Sweden's Marika Sundin clinched second place +2.6 sec behind the winner. Ksenia Konohova of Russia rounded out the podium in third place with a gap of +16.0 sec on the winner.

Anders Svanebo of Sweden was superior in the men's 8 km free in 14:05.0. Svanebo won the race with a clear gap on the runnerup Romain Claudon of France. The Frenchman stayed behind by +17.8 sec. Norway's Ragnar Andresen finished in third place +23.0 behind.
Markus Johansen Westgaaard (NOR) won the junior men competition ahead of Ivan Petrunin (RUS) and Anton Budylov (RUS). Julia Belger (GER) led the German squad for a triple victory as Theresa Luetzendorf took the runner up position and Anne Winkler claimed third place.

Anastasia Voronina and Ragnar Bragvin Andresen win sprint in Markkleeberg
Russia's Anastasia Voronina was the quickest lady in yesterday's 0,2 km sprint free at the FIS Roller Skiing World Cup in Markkleeberg. In the A Final Voronina edged out Sweden's Maria Magnusson by +0.6 sec. Ksenia Konohova completed the Russian sprint dominance as she stormed to third place having denied the podium to the winner of the Friday's competition Kathrine Rolsted Harsem of Norway.

Ragnar Bragvin Andresen of Norway won on the men's side as she spurted over Russia's Evgeniy Abdurakhmanov. B Final was all about Italy as Emanuele Sbabo and Alessa Berlanda fought for third place. Sbabo was the luckier one and stormed to third place.

Men's junior sprint was dominated by Emanuele Becchis (ITA) before Andrey Melikov (RUS) and Alexander Gavrilov (RUS). Margarita Tolochko of Russia celebrated victory in the junior ladies competition ahead of Lisa Bolzan (ITA) and Kira Claudi (GER).

Pursuit success for Harsem and Svanebo
Kathrine Rolsted Harsem and Anders Svanebo dominated the third and final day of the FIS Roller Skiing World Cup in Markkleeberg, Germany.
Harsem won the 12 km pursuit free in 30:28.4 and returns to Norway with two victories from Markkleeberg. Russian skiers occupied the remaining podium spots as Elena Rodina claimed second place and Ksenia Konohova finished third.
Anders Svanebo of Sweden grabbed second victory as he dominated the men's competition over 8 km. Svanebo crossed the finish line in 48:17 and left behind Romain Claudon of France by +8.0 sec and Russia's Igor Glushkov.
