FIS. Cherishing the gender differences and working together while believing in yourself was one of the key messages today at the second FIS Ladies Seminar with more than 60 attendees.
The seminar was initiated by Jana Gantnerova, active FIS Technical Delegate and candidate for the FIS Council, and Dr. Josef Zenhaeusern, FIS Aid & Promotion Consultant. Of the speakers Sabine Wittner, Coordinator Skicross for the Austrian Ski Association, spoke about coaching men while FIS World Cup Race Director Jan Tischhauser recalled his experiences of coaching both men and women.
FIS Secretary General Sarah Lewis said that being a woman in international sport is no longer a ‚novelty factor, we are judged on the quality of our work‘. Asne Havnelid, CEO 2011 Oslo, spoke about her career working in top sports. Tulay Bayar informed about the great strides for women‘s sport in Turkey.
