SKI JUMPING, COC-M. The international ski jumping summer season traditionally starts with the Continental Cup in Slovenia. This weekend two events will take place on the normal hill in Kranj.
The first competition on Saturday ended with a victory of the favorite. Local hero Robert Kranjec captured the victory on his home hill with jumps on 109.5 m and 104 m and a total of 255.3 points.
The second place went to Junior World Champion Vladimir Zografski from Bulgaria with 109 m and 103 m (250.6 points).

Poland's Dawid Kubacki, eighth after the first round, moved up to the third place with a 105.5 m in the final. His teammate Bartlomiej Klusek was on this third place after the first round, but with a weaker second jump he lost many places and finished 25th.
Peter Prevc, who showed the best performance in the second round and moved up from 13th to fourth, and Dejan Judez as fifth completed the strong result of the hosting team.
Behind Aleksander Zniszczol from Poland, Daniel Huber was the best Austrian as seventh.
It was a disappointing start of the season for the German team. Their best was Markus Eisenbichler as 23rd.
