ROLLER SKI. FIS Rollerski World Cup Oroslavje-Stubicke Toplice 2012. Uphill race, track Pila-Sljeme. Saturday, 16.06.2012 -- With uphill race length of 10 kilometers in Stubičke Toplice, on the track Pila-Sljeme, began this year's FIS Rollerski World Cup.
The first event gathered seven national teams (Russia, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia). Rollerskiers welcomed the warm weather and heavy track for which the fastest seniors needed 32 and a half minutes.
The senior men competition was won by Sergio Bonaldo (ITA). Second was Andreas Svanebo (SWE), and the third Simone Paredi (ITA).
For senior ladies the fastest was Hanna Seppas (SWE), and next to it on the podium stood Ksenia Konohova (RUS) and Marika Sundin (SWE).
Among the junior man, we saw a triple victory of Russians. The first was Anton Budylov, Vadim Andreev second and third Alexander Gavrilov.
The junior ladies category won Urszula Letocha (POL) in front of Elena Lukianova (RUS) and Lisa Bolzan (ITA).
Tomorrow we wait for the sprint race at the center of Oroslavje already well-known 180-meter long track. Qualifications begin at 10.00 and finals at 11.00 hours.
